At 19 years old, Nina was referred to Mcmahon Ryan's Child Advocacy Center by the US attorney’s office due to a long history of being a victim of child pornography and long-term abuse.

Starting at an early age, Nina's mother and uncle would take pictures of her engaging in sexual acts. Her uncle forced her to perform sex acts with others and would sell and trade pictures of her.

At age 15, Nina, desperate to escape abuse, ran away from home.

While investigating another case, the FBI stumbled across Nina's case. They were able to track Nina down and offer her the help she needed.

She now has an advocate that is helping her move on from her tough past. Mcmahon/Ryan was able to set her up with therapy at the center and her advocate continues to go on this healing journey with her. She provides support and accompaniment to court and has helped her with managing college while dealing with all of this.

What an amazing and strong young lady who has the courage to testify against those who victimized her.

Mcmahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center offers a victim centered, trauma informed approach to working with victims and survivors of human trafficking. They offer case management coordination and advocacy to potential commercially sexually exploited youth. They help youth access emergency shelter, medical care, mental health counseling, and financial assistance as well as address other safety needs while working with county-wide agencies. They provide accompaniment to court, medical appointments and other essential appointments that will help them on their path to healing and freedom of exploitation. We are proud to partner with Mcmahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center and support their life-saving work.
