We’ve Got Your Back: Check Out Our 2021 Fundraising Resources
Welcome to Fundraising Season
Welcome, friend. We’re glad you’re here. Whether it’s your first time advocating with Dressember or you’re a seasoned dress-or-tie wearing veteran, we’re here to help you fundraise for your Dressember campaign from this moment until the day you put your jeans back on (and then some). We put together a 2021 Fundraising Toolkit with fundraising guides, social media resources, and blog posts to set you up for your best campaign season yet. Be on the lookout for email templates as well!
Make sure you’re registered for the 2021 campaign and then let’s get to work. Download our Pitch Deck before December 1st for everything you need to get started. Reading this after December 1st? No worries–our tried and true fundraising ideas are there for you all month long. We’re big fans of lemonade stands and clothing swaps! Feeling good and want to lead a team? Check out our Team Leader Guide. Leading a Dressember team is a sure-fire way to multiply your impact and spread awareness. There are so many creative ways to fundraise, like dedicating your birthday or challenging your community to raise funds on a bingo card. We love to see the innovative ways that advocates engage with folks both on and offline.
Advocating on Social Media
October and November is all about swinging the door open for folks to join you in your advocacy. On social media, you can start to let your community know that you’re advocating for Dressember and that they are welcome to advocate alongside you! Download these graphics from our Fundraising Toolkit to announce your participation in the style challenge and guide folks through the process of joining your Dressember team.
It can be intimidating to think about sharing your style challenge journey, the intersectional issues that Dressember addresses, and ethical fashion throughout all of Dressember. Every. Single. Day. Trust us - we get it. We’re here to sustain your advocacy and cheer you along throughout the month! Educate your community and raise awareness during the month of December with our 31 Days of Intersectional Stats on human trafficking. We even wrote captions for each day including the direct impact the Dressember Network is making. Learn more about each statistic and our impact programs on the Dressember blog.
Throughout the month, we encourage you to share our Impact Giving graphics to inspire folks to give different dollar amounts. Lastly, remember to celebrate the hard work that your community is doing together with Goal Updates when you’ve hit fundraising milestones.
